MATERIAL EXPERIENCE

Nitro-Lift’s Material Experience and Scope Includes Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel

In the oil and gas industry, every application should be able to withstand thermal stresses, fatigue, possible corrosion and other environmental strains. Here at Nitro-Lift, we are proud of our strong and innovative design and engineering capabilities, allowing us to work on top-notch materials required in several oil and gas industry applications.

Carbon Steel

An alloy 2% carbon and iron, carbon steel is known for its strength and corrosion resistance. Other alloys include cobalt, tungsten, nickel and chromium. Using carbon steel in oil and gas industry applications enhances the overall performance of the materials. Carbon steel is also relatively more affordable than other materials, making it a good and cost-effective choice.

Stainless Steel

Unlike other materials, stainless steel isn't prone to corrosion, rusting, or staining. It is an alloy with 10.5% of chromium, which creates a layer that protects materials against corrosion. It can also withstand high operating pressures, thermal stresses and aggressive environment conditions.
